Men's teams in close fight;

women remain in 1-2-3 order

      MARTINSBURG, PA – July 28, 2006: Just 59 seconds separate the top four men's teams in the 20th anniversary edition of the International Tour de Toona at the end of stage 5, the Hoss's Martisnburg Road race as riders prepare to embark Saturday on the challenging 90-mile Boscov's Blair County Road Race. A stage win by Navigator's Insurance Team's Bernard VanUlden who finished the 80-mile Firday course in 2:53:06 was not enough to strip the Echo/Giant Eagle overall leader's Jersey from Karl Menzies of Health Net Pro Cycling Team who led Target Training's Frank Pipp by nine seconds at the end of the day.
      Team results are even closer, with Colavita Suter Home Cycling Team just six seconds ahead of Navigator's Insurance. Health Net Pro Cycling Team and Toyota-United Pro Cyling are in the hunt, laying just 29 and 32 seconds back respectively, and Target Training Team is not much further back, at 59 seconds off the overall winning pace.
      There were no changes in the first three places overall in the women's 80-mile trek, with Kristin Armstrong of Team Lipton continuing to wear the yellow Merrill Lynch leader's jersey.  The stage win was by Brook Miller of PABW Powered by TIBC, who paced the 80-mile rural course in 3:21:45 to lead a pack of six riders 41 seconds ahead of the nearest field finishers.
      Team Lipton continues to lead the women's team GC by 3:25, and Friday's results moved Webcor Platinum Women's Cycling Team into the top three just behind Team Biovail.
     Glen Chadwick of Navigator's Insurance captured the Pennsylvania Coal Producer's King of the Mountain Jersey, while the TransCore Queen of the Mountain Jersey went to Rachael Heal of Victory Brewing Cycling.
      Thursday stage winner Tina Pic of Team Colavita Cooking Light will wear the UPS women's sprint winner's jersey on Saturday, while VanUlden will don the Pennsylvania Turnpike men's sprint jersey.
